Guwahati: Meghalaya will draw on insights from Telangana’s Integrated Command and Control Centre (IC&CC) to strengthen its governance systems, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said on Thursday after inspecting the facility in Hyderabad.

Sangma said the visit provided an opportunity to understand how continuous monitoring, digital tools, and coordinated functioning across government departments can improve the delivery of public services and emergency management.

He said the effectiveness of the centre is not based solely on its technological capabilities but also on the institutional arrangements that enable different departments to function in an integrated manner.

Meghalaya will examine the operational structure of the Telangana model before identifying practices that can be adapted to suit the state’s administrative requirements, he said.

According to Sangma, adopting suitable elements from the system could improve coordination among departments, enable quicker decision-making, and increase the use of technology in delivering government services.

He added that Meghalaya will continue studying successful administrative initiatives from other states as part of its efforts to build a more efficient, technology-enabled, and citizen-focused governance system.
