Gauhati University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the govt job of Project Personnel on temporary basis in the research/monitoring project titled “Aquatic Ecology Monitoring at Brahmaputra Bridge Construction site with special emphasis on Migratory Birds, Turtle, Fishes and Ganges River Dolphin Population & Habitat Monitoring along with Conservation Awareness of Fringe Area Population”- for the “Construction of 4-Lane Extra Dosed PSC Bridge over River Brahmaputra connecting Palashbari and Sualkuchi including viaduct and approach road, River Training Works on
EPC mode Assam” under the guidance of Dr Kuladip Sarma, Department of Zoology in 2026.
Name of post : Senior Project Associate
No. of posts : 1
Salary : INR 1,25,000/-pm
Qualification :
1. Must be post graduate in Life Science, Natural Science or Geography or related subject.
2. Must have work experience on Ganges River dolphin monitoring in Brahmaputra River for
construction related work.
3. Must have experience in Similar kind of Third-party monitoring work for bridge construction project for 3 Years (Minimum) as Senior Project Associate
4. Must be NET qualified
Name of post : Project Associate (GIS)
No. of posts : 1
Salary : INR 60,000/-pm
Qualification :
1. Must be post graduate in Life Science, Natural Science or Geography or related subject.
2. Must have GIS work and mapping of habitat.
3. Must have experience in similar kind of bridge construction project
Name of post : Junior Research Fellow
No. of posts : 2
Salary : INR 35,000/- pm for the 1st year and INR 40,000/- pm in 2nd and 3rd year
Qualification :
1. Must be post graduate in Life Science, Natural Science or Geography or related subject.
2. Must have experience in Similar kind of bridge construction project
