Dimapur: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Wednesday felicitated toppers, rank holders and recipients of various Governor’s Awards in the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2026 during a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Kohima.
Congratulating the awardees on their exceptional academic performance, the Governor praised their dedication, discipline, perseverance and commitment to excellence. He said their achievements reflected the determination and hard work they had invested in pursuing their academic goals.
Addressing the gathering, Yadav said the Governor’s Award for Meritorious Students was instituted not only to recognise outstanding performance but also to celebrate and promote a culture of academic excellence among the youth of Nagaland.
He noted that the award honours qualities such as hard work, discipline and perseverance while motivating students to aim higher and realise their full potential. The initiative, he said, underscores the commitment to nurturing talent, rewarding merit and inspiring future generations to contribute meaningfully to the development of both the state and the nation.
