Guwahati is all set to host the One Day International (ODI) between India and West Indies on October 21 next at Barsapara Stadium.
The tour includes two tests, five one-day internationals and three T20 Internationals, and will continue till November 11.
India will start their seven-week home series campaign against the West Indies with a Test match at Rajkot on October 4.
This is less than a week after the completion of the Asia Cup.
The second Test is scheduled from October 12 to 16 at Hyderabad.
The five-match ODI series will begin on October 21 in Guwahati, followed by the second ODI on October 24 in Indore and third ODI in Pune on October 27.
The final two ODIs will be held in Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram on October 29 and November 1 respectively.
The one-dayers will be followed by the three T20 Internationals to be held in Kolkata November 4, in Lucknow on November 6 and in Chennai on November 11.
The Indian team is presently on a tour to England and in the five-match Test series they are lagging behind 1-3 after the fourth Test match. The final Test begins in London on Friday next.
The team will then play the forthcoming Asia Cup to be held from September 15 to 28, featuring Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan and a qualifier.
However, skipper Virat Kohli will give the Asia Cup a miss and join the team for the home series against West Indies.
So fans of Guwahati and across Northeast who will converse at the Barsapara stadium on October 21 next can expect some blistering fireworks from Kohli and his team.
Both the teams will arrive in Guwahati October 19 for the match.
The last international match played at the Barsapara stadium was the T20 match between India and Australia in October, 2017 which Australia won by two wickets.
The match was marred by an ugly incident when some miscreants pelted stones at the team bus while returning from the stadium.
