Tezpur University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates in 2026 for recruitment to the posts or career of two (02)Project Associate and four (04) Field Assistant in the DRDO sponsored research project entitled ‘Creation of speech corpora for central Naga languages for LID task’ under the Principal Investigator Dr. Amalesh Gope, Assistant Professor, Department of Linguistics and Language Technology.

Qualification: MA/Ph.D. in Linguistics/Applied Linguistics/Computational Linguistics and Allied subjects. Candidates with UGC NET are preferable.
Desirable:
(1) Candidates must carry out tasks of recording speech data in the Field (Nagaland), IPA transcriptions of speech data as and when necessary, and create basic grammar and phonological structure of the target languages.
(2) Native speakers of the target languages and/or candidates with a Specialization in Acoustic Phonetics, Computational Linguistics, NLP, and Experimental Phonology may apply.
Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand) only per month (consolidated, excluding the 18% GST amount)

(2) Native speakers of the target languages with a Specialization in linguistics, Acoustic Phonetics, and Experimental Phonology may apply.
Remuneration: Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) only per month (consolidated, excluding the 18% GST amount)
Age: Below 35 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules
