Dibrugarh: Assamโ€™s young skating talent Chhavi Garg, hailing from Dibrugarh, won two gold medals at the Indo-Nepal Roller Skating Championship 2026.

A student of Sampoorna Kendra Vidyalaya, Chhavi competed in the Under-10 category representing India at the international event.

She secured first place in the 200-metre and 400-metre roller skating events and emerged as one of the top performers of the championship.

Her achievement has been widely appreciated in Dibrugarh, with teachers, classmates, sports enthusiasts, and local residents acknowledging her success.

The performance also added to Assamโ€™s growing presence in sports.

School authorities said Chhaviโ€™s success is the result of hard work, training, and support from her coaches and family.

They added that she has the potential to perform at national and international levels in the future.

The Indo-Nepal Roller Skating Championship 2026 saw participation from young skaters from India and Nepal. Chhaviโ€™s double gold medal finish stood out in the competition.
