North Lakhimpur: In an exceptional academic achievement, a student from rural Lakhimpur district has secured full marks in Assamese in the HSLC 2026 examination, the results of which were declared today.

Irfana Yasmin, a student of Yuvanagar High School located in Dharmapur near Laluk, scored a perfect 100 out of 100 in Assamese, bringing pride and recognition to her school and the district. Her accomplishment is being regarded as a rare feat and a moment of celebration for the local academic community.

Meanwhile, the overall performance of Lakhimpur district in the HSLC 2026 examination has shown significant improvement. The district recorded a pass percentage of 76.98%, with 12,997 students successfully clearing the examination out of 16,883 candidates who appeared.

According to official data, 4,298 students secured first division, 7,097 achieved second division, and 1,602 students passed in third division. The results indicate a strong upward trend in academic performance compared to previous years, reflecting improved outcomes in the district’s secondary education sector.
