Tocklai Tea Research Institute Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Project Scientist-I (Entomology) under a collaborative research program between TEA RESEARCH ASSOCIATION and LEHER SUSTAINABLE AGRI PVT. LTD., Gurgaon, Haryana, in the Entomology Department in 2026.

Essential Qualification:
Doctoral degree in Life Science/ Agriculture with specialization in Entomology and Pest Management from a recognized university or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification :
1. Advanced knowledge on the application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Agri-Drone), AI tools,
Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Robotics in plant protection, handling advanced statistical software and sophisticated laboratory instruments, writing high-quality
independent research paper.
2. Research experience in Tea Entomology or related disciplines with atleast one research paper in SCI indexed journal.
Emoluments : Rs. 56,000/- per month (consolidated)
Job Roles :
Project-related research work. The candidate will have the responsibility of planning the
experimental layout, conducting field trials and data collection with respect to the drone spray parameters, field bio-efficacy against major pests of tea plantations along with report
preparation, data compilation, statistical analysis and writing of research paper.
