Norway has chosen Adil Hussain starrer What Will People Say, as its official entry for Oscars, in the best foreign-language film category.
Co-produced by Norway, Germany, Sweden, France and Denmark, the film follows 16-year-old Nisha, a Pakistani teenager in Norway who is sent back to her extended family on the subcontinent when she seemingly soils her family’s reputation.

Maria Mozhdah plays the 16-year-old protagonist Nisha and Hussain plays the role of Nisha’s father.
This film opened in Toronto International Film Festival and has travelled to many others.
The film directed by Pakistani-Norwegian filmmaker Iram Haq has been screened at a number of festivals, including Goteborg, Hamburg and Jerusalem.
