North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-medical) in a ICMR, Govt. of India, sponsored research project (ICMR Project ID FIW-2025-01-00000005 dated 04/02/2026), sanctioned to Dr. Bidyadhar Das (PI) and Dr. Kuheli Biswas Das (Co-PI) for a period of 2 years under First-In-World Project Challenge.
Name of post : Project Research Scientist I (Non-medical)
No. of posts : 1
Essential Qualification : M.Sc. in Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology with minimum
of 55% marks in the qualifying examination (with relaxation as per GoI rules).
Desirable :
1. Candidates with NET (UGC-CSIR)/ GATE, and/or
2. Experiences in protein expression in E. coli/yeast, protein purification, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques would be preferred.
Fellowship : As per ICMR, GoI, rules and regulations
Age Limit : Less than 28 years as on 03/03/2026 (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PHD candidates as per Gol norms)
