The award was presented by the Indian Society of Extension Education during its national seminar on digital technologies for sustainable food systems, held recently in Goa, a varsity release said.

Dimapur: K.K. Jha, Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension Education at Nagaland University, was conferred the prestigious Indian Society of Extension Education (ISEE) Fellow Award 2026โ€“27 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of extension education and professional service.

The award was presented by the Indian Society of Extension Education (ISEE), New Delhi, during the ISEE national seminar on โ€œDigital Technologies for Sustainable Food Systems and Atmanirbhar Bharat,โ€ held recently in Goa, a varsity release said on Friday.

Jha is currently serving as the Vice-President of the ISEE, New Delhi.

With decades of academic and professional experience, his areas of expertise include agricultural extension, technology transfer, agro-ecological studies, impact assessment of development programmes, entrepreneurship development, and the sustainability of farming systems.

Nagaland University Vice-Chancellor J.K. Patnaik said the university is proud to congratulate Jha on being conferred the prestigious ISEE Fellow Award 2026โ€“27.

Patnaik said the honour reflects Jhaโ€™s outstanding contributions to extension education and his dedicated professional service. He added that, as Vice-President of the ISEE, New Delhi, Jha has consistently demonstrated leadership, scholarship, and commitment to national development through education, and wished him continued success in all his endeavours.

Patnaik further noted that the recognition underscores Jhaโ€™s significant role in advancing extension education, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and strengthening the interface between research, policy, and grassroots farming communities.
