Army Public School Shillong Meghalaya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Principal in 2026.

Qualification & Experience:
1. Regular Master’s Degree with 50% aggregate marks in CBSE notified teaching subjects (preferably being taught in Army Public Schools) from a recognised University/ Institute.
2. Regular Bachelor of Education with min 50% aggregate marks from UGC/ NCTE recognised University/ Institution.
3. 08 years regular service as a PGT in any teaching subject in a recognised CBSE school. For a serving Vice Principal, it will be 06 years as a PGT in any teaching subject in a recognised CBSE school and 02 years administrative experience as a Vice Principal.
OR
15 years combined experience as PGT/ TGT out of which minimum 03 years should be as a PGT in any teaching subject in a recognised CBSE School.
4. IT Proficient. Adequate working knowledge of computers/ MS Office/ MS PowerPoint.
Additional Desired Qualifications :
PhD, M.Ed. Minimum 03 years administrative experience as a Vice Principal/ Senior Secondary School Examination-in-Charge in a recognised CBSE School.
Age limit: As on 01 Apr 2026, minimum 40 years and maximum 50 years. Maximum age
limit for Regular APS employees and Ex-servicemen will be 55 years.
Selection Process :
Through Panel Interview . Only candidates shortlisted, based on Qualification, Experience and other criteria as may be considered by the Management, will be called for interview.
