Sikkim Olympic Association (SOA) president, BK Roka has been nominated as an observer of India Olympic Association (IOA) for the upcoming 18th Asian Games.

The games will be held from 18 August to 2 September this year at Jakarta, Palembang, Indonesia.

Roka is also the Member of Executive Council of IOA. Likewise, Boxing Federation of India has also nominated SOA general secretary Jaslal Pradhan as a technical observer in the Asian Games 2018.

A SOA press release expressed that it was a very proud moment both for the Sikkim Olympic Association fraternity as well as for the State of Sikkim.

“The experience garnered by them would be especially beneficial while hosting the upcoming State Games which will be held for the very first time in Sikkim and other sporting events in the state,” the release added.  The release further expressed its best wishes to both of them.
