Manipur Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam said the government is trying to declare the semester examination of the colleges by consulting the different stakeholders in the state.
However he did not disclose the tentative time frame for the declaration of the said examinations.

The joint college students’ forum Manipur had even called off their shut down of colleges affiliated to Manipur University from Thursday after an assurance by education minister during a meeting in the recent past.
Around 15000 graduate students studying in 80 plus colleges are waiting for the declaration of their semester examination result for further studies outside the state.
“We’re trying our best to declare it (examination),” Radheshyam who was recently appointed as the Government Spokesperson said while responding to a question by reporters on the sideline of the felicitation ceremony of Rank Holders and Subject Toppers of Johnstone Higher Secondary School at its School campus on Saturday.

The Johnstone higher secondary school 1964 matric batch welfare association organised the day’s function.
Many students who secured highest marks in the different subjects and those who bagged the top ranks among the school students during the state wide 10+2 examinations were also honoured by certificates, dictionary, pen and cash awards etc.
L Chingkheinganba son of Roben of Chajing khunou who secured 77.8 percent marks was topper in the science category while Dingtiplung Kamei son of Lungkupou,Tamenglong who secured 69 percent marks was adjudged as topper in arts stream from the school. O Indrakumar who secured 78 percent marks was declared the topper student in the commerce category from Johnstone higher secondary school.
On July 24 minister Radheshyam had also appeal to the agitating bodies, student organisations and all other stakeholders to call off the present stir at Manipur University to enable restoration of academic atmosphere in the educational institutions of the State.
He had urged all the stakeholders to help declaration of results of the sixth semester examination for the sake of the students and their welfare. The Minister sought people’s support, especially, from the parents, teachers and students in this regard.
Urging the agitating bodies to allow conduct of regular classes in Manipur University, colleges and schools, and also to let the admission procedures begin, Radheshyam said that the issue relating to the demand for removal of the Vice Chancellor of Manipur University has seriously affected the academic atmosphere of different educational institutions of the State.
