The National Council for Teachers’ Education (NCTE) under the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) is going to inspect the schools of Udalguri district of Assam in the first week of August.

This was stated by Bhaben Deury, District Mission Coordinator, SSA, Udalguri on Thursday.

Dr Anil Shukla, deputy secretary of NCTE-MHRD, New Delhi will verify provisions of drinking water, textbooks and sanitary facilities for the elementary classes, electricity to all secondary schools and functional girls toilets, the DMC,SSA, Udalguri informed.

All the heads of the schools under Udalguri district have been directed to keep the toilets and drinking water facilities neat and clean.

Meanwhile, some heads of elementary schools expressed great hope that the representative of Union MHRD should take stock of situation after the last Gunotsav held in the district along with other parts of the State and inspect whether the schools were provided the required basic infrastructure for over all development as found during the Gunotsav.
