The 3rd Northeast kickboxing championship-2018 kicked off on Friday at SAI Complex here in Kokrajhar.

Organised by the Kickboxing Association, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), a total of 450 participants from the eight states of Northeast are participating in the championship which will continue till Sunday.

BTC executive member in-charge of Sports & Urban Development Doneswar Goyary attended the opening ceremony as guest. A march past was organised during the opening session.

In her speech Goyary urged kick boxers players from the region to play well in the 3rd Northeast kickboxing championship here in SAI complex in Kokrajhar and said that all players need to dedicate to bring glory with attentively while they will participate in national and international events in their life in the future.

Nripendra Chandra Roy, president of Kickboxing Association of Bodoland Territorial Council, Assam said that as many as 450 participants have been thronged to 3rd Northeast Kickboxing championship which was started from today in Kokrajhar and all Northeast state has been participating in the competition.

He said that many young physically fits and talented players from the four district of BTC are playing boxing and they will perform well in the 3rd Northeast kickboxing championship 2018.

He also appealed all section of people to extend their cooperation to conduct the three-day 3rd Northeast kickboxing championship smoothly.
