It is made by combining equal parts of flour, ghee, sugar, and water.

Besides Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kada Prasad is always distributed to every devotee who visits a Gurudwara any day.

Prior to receiving the Prasad, it is mandatory for every devotee to cover their heads with a turban or scarf as a sign of respect.

To make Kada Prasad at home, follow these steps-

Ingredients-

  • 1 ¼ cup ghee
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup sugar

Method

  • Heat ghee in a kadhai.
  • Add wheat flour and cook till golden and aromatic.
  • Add 1 cup water and mix well.
  • Put sugar and cook through.
  • Cook till everything comes together and Prasad starts leaving ghee.
  • Serve hot.
