The sixth phase of ‘Go to Village’ camp was organized across Manipur on Tuesday. The camp was organized by the district administration and attended by ministers, legislators and representatives of local bodies in their respective areas.
Manipur Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen attended the camp at the Gopibung Government UJB School in Gopibung Village under the Champhai Sub Division of Kangpokpi District.
She distributed deliverable to beneficiaries under various governmental schemes. Around 15 stalls of various government departments were opened to ensure government schemes and benefit reach at the doorsteps of the villagers.
Aadhaar, birth certificate, pension schemes, free medical camp, voter enrollments were some of the services provided at the stalls.
Addressing the mass gatherings, Minister Nemcha said the ‘Go to Village’ mission is in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi – ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ that aims for inclusive development for all, even to those residing in the farthest corner. So far, many villagers from far-flung areas have availed various governmental schemes through this effort of the government, she asserted. Nemcha appealed to the officials to serve the masses without discriminating any deserving beneficiaries.
During the visit, Minister Nemcha along with the Sub-Divisional Officer, Block Development Officer Champhai, Chunglenmang and the officials inspected stalls of various departments set up at the camp and interacted with the villagers and enquired about their concerns and grievances and assured assistance from her end. MLA Dr S Ranjan also attended GTV camp at Yurembam in Imphal West district.
Covering seven villages under Chandel sub-division, the Chandel district administration conducted the 6th phase of Go to Village camp successfully at Chandel Christian village community hall on Tuesday.
