Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced significant recruitment examination plans during a Facebook live session, even as the state continues to tackle ongoing flood relief efforts.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the schedule for the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE) for Grade 3 and Grade 4 posts.

The preliminary exams for Grade 3 positions are set to begin on September 15, 22, and 29, followed by mains and viva rounds.

For Grade 4 positions, preliminary exams will start on October 20 and 27, progressing similarly through mains and viva assessments.

The recruitment drive aims to fill approximately 7500 Grade 3 and 4500 Grade 4 vacancies across Assam.

CM Sarma expressed optimism as flood conditions improve, particularly in Dibrugarh district of Assam and other areas where the waters from the Brahmaputra River have started to recede.

He pledged continued government support to expedite relief efforts and assist displaced residents returning from relief camps.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also confirmed that physical tests for Assam police recruitment will commence on October 3, aiming to fill 6400 posts once flood-affected grounds are restored.

Additionally, he outlined plans for further recruitment in elementary and secondary education sectors in 2025.
