ITANAGAR: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Assam minister Ashok Singhal as the partyโ€™s in-charge for Arunachal Pradesh.

This was informed by the BJP on Friday (July 05).

The decision is seen as part of the BJPโ€™s strategy to strengthen its presence and organizational structure in Arunachal Pradesh.

Ashok Singhal currently serves as a minister of housing & urban affairs and irrigation in the Assam government.

His new role will involve overseeing party activities, coordinating with local leaders.

Arunachal Pradesh has been a key focus for the BJP, which aims to further consolidate its political presence in the state.
