Silchar: A woman in Cachar, Assam was reportedly killed after a tree fell onto their house during a huge thunderstorm.
The incident took place in the Rajghat area in Dholai, Chacar last night during a thunderstorm when a massive tree fell on their house.

The infant child, fortunately, survived the accident with no harm.

The deceased has been identified as Sakhi Begum Laskar.

35-year-old Sakhi was sleeping with her infant by her side when the massive tree fell on their house.

While their house suffered severe damage, no other family members were injured during the incident.
It may be mentioned that storms were reported from across the region on Sunday night with hailstorms being seen in multiple parts of Assam.
