The United Youths’ Democratic Federation (UYDF) which was formed recently with the aspiration to fulfill some unattended, ignored, neglected issues of the society of the country has affirmed that they will start their operation for the betterment of the youths of the Bodoland region of Assam.

In a press meet held at Kokrajhar Press Club on Wednesday, the chairman of the UYDF, Gorjan Mashahary said in theory, they believed in and have seen the power of youths in this nation.

He said India was growing rapidly and good days were showering on the next generation where crores of youths should be employed.

“Indeed, we are being showered by many false promises by the political system of this nation even today, we should be more practical, youths are foundation of our nation as youths are the future of each generation,” he said adding that the unemployed youths were racketing from high to higher and idea of joblessness, drugs abused, sex trade and extremism across the country speak about youths become a menace for this nation.

Mashahary further said it was something weird in the social and political system that Indian youths were considered less human, short of academic efficiency, a man without work, an incomplete man and woman without government jobs.

The UYDF said from this platform, the federation appealed the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Assam and Chief of BTC that India don’t need a garden of IITs, to build this country but needs parks and gardens of IITs and many more entrepreneurships in the country to make youth employers and not employees.

Mashahary urged the Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal to consider the ‘youths pension’, for the state of Assam.

He said the intention of the UYDF was to build a broad based strong united youth movement for democratic rights and embracing every young man and women who is pledged to fight for the uplift and betterment of youths as a whole.

The UYDF leaders said they will identify the various problems concerning youth and takes proper and timely decision and steps to resolve them and to pledge to organize and conduct struggle against corruption, unemployment and to fight to employment or unemployed allowances till employment and to conduct propaganda and agitation against the the discrimination.

He also said the UYDF will work for the rights of the youths to participate in the activities of public bodies through the representatives of the organized youths and take up and highlight the different issues and problems concerning the youths in the field of education, culture and sports.
