Imphal: Four individuals lost their lives and two others including an eight-year-old girl injured in separate road accidents in the valley districts of Manipur on Monday night, official sources said on Tuesday.
A bus carrying a few passengers coming towards Imphal from Yaingangpokpi village rammed a Royal Enfield bike and a Honda Activa leaving two persons dead at Nungoi Loukot under Lamlai police station in Imphal east district at around 7 pm on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Mutum Henba (27), and Sapam Premjit (34), both residents of Nongada village, Imphal East.
The injured, are Taorem Manoranjan (23), and Sapam Lingjenthoi (8) a girl, both of them also from Nongada village.
In another accident, a pedestrian identified as Hidangmayum Ramananda (55) of Kongba village lost his life after a Royal Enfield motorcycle hit him at Khongman Mangjil a road under Irilbung police station around 9 pm on Monday.
Meanwhile, one Naorem Jiten (56) who was found unconscious inside his car at Kakching Irum Ningthou Pareng under Kakching police station was declared dead by doctors at the Jiban Hospital, Kakching district on Monday night.
Different unnatural dead cases were registered in connection with the accidents, the police added.
