TINSUKIA: In a troubling incident unfolding in Tinsukia district of Assam, five students from a local high school sustained injuries after being assaulted by a large group of unruly youths on Monday (March 04).
The incident occurred amidst the ongoing high school leaving certificate (HSLC) examination in Assam, with three of the injured students reported to be in serious condition.

According to reports, approximately 30 unruly youths unexpectedly appeared while the students were returning home after their examination.
The mob instigated a confrontation and proceeded to physically assault the students, resulting in injuries, particularly to their heads.

While three students sustained severe wounds and were promptly taken to Tinsukia Civil Hospital for medical attention, the remaining two managed to escape with minor injuries, as per sources.
The injured individuals required treatment and blood transfusions following the shocking and unprovoked attack.
However, the motive behind the assault remains unknown.
It has been disclosed that the affected students are affiliated with St Stephen’s High School, located in Bordoloi Nagar within the Tinsukia district of Assam.
