Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal conducted an official meeting with Hojai district administration on Monday and took stock of developmental activities with government officials there.

The chief minister felicitated bright students of the district who had excelled in this year’s High School Leaving Certificate Examination and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council Examination. The felicitation programme was held at J K Kedia Smriti Bhawan.

Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said, “Unity is strength and without any comparison we should work for the uplift of society”.

He insisted to make Hojai district one of the strongest districts in the state.

He greeted and congratulated the students for their excellent performance in the examinations despite facing various difficulties.

“If we do anything with full of enthusiasm, dedication and patience we can achieve anything,” Sonowal added.

The official review meeting continued for an hour and thereafter five students Amar Sing Thapa, Akasht Chawchharia, Nayeema Firduous Borbhuyan, Divyang Student Jebin Kausar and Shanaz Sultana were felicitated.

Hojai legislator Shiladitya Deb, Lumding MLA Sibu Mishra, Assam’s Deputy Inspector General Bishnu Prasad Raba and Deputy Commissioner of Hojai Manvendra Pratap Singh along with other officials were present on the occasion.

Before the official meeting, Chief Minister Sonowal also attended Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Special Educational Training conclusion ceremony. He had a meeting with Akhil Bharatiya Sahakaryabahak Krishna Gopal Ji for an hour at Geeta Ashram Campus in Hojai.
