Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wished Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati on the occasion of its 30th Foundation Day
Sarma, who termed IIT Guwahati as the ‘pride of Assam’ on X (formerly Twitter) also spoke about the state government actively collaborating with this premier educational institution to find solutions on a wide range of issues
“IIT Guwahati is the pride of Assam. Our Government is actively collaborating with them to find solutions to wide range of issues – from engineering to healthcare,” Sarma wrote in a post on X

Established in 1994, the academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced from 1995
The institute currently has eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering, science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines
