British photographer Hugo Burnand has recently released the ‘first The Line of Succession photograph ever taken at a Coronation’

He was appointed as the photographer for the coronation of King Charles III and his Queen Consort Camilla

The Line of Succession photograph features the 76-year-old United Kingdom (U.K.) monarch King Charles III along with his heirs Prince William and Prince George

The 40-year-old Prince of Wales and his son Prince George aged nine are the next heirs to the British throne

Sharing this royal photograph on Instagram, Burnand wrote that his research indicates this is the ‘first The Line of Succession photograph ever taken at a Coronation’

“History in the making! My research indicates this is the first The Line of Succession photograph ever taken at a Coronation, making it a little bit extra special,” Burnand wrote in a caption.

“ The King with The Prince of Wales and Prince George of Wales in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace on Coronation Day,” he added

The Coronation of King Charles III and The Queen Consort took place on 6 May 2023, almost 70 years since the last Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in June 1953.

The coronation of the British royals have mostly taken place at the Westminster Abbey in London

The first English king to be crowned at the Abbey was William the Conqueror in 1066 and 39 coronations have taken place since then
