Temi tea garden – the only tea estate in Sikkim has prepared a blueprint to attract more tourists to the place and also promote tea tourism.
Tourists visiting the Temi tea garden in South Sikkim would now get the opportunity to relax and unwind in the beauty of the garden and enjoy the beautiful landscape and stunning weather.

This is becoming possible because of an initiative to promote tea tourism in the State’s only tea estate.
With the undulating beauty of the tea garden being the primary attraction, the State government owned Temi tea estate has entered into a partnership with Priya Entertainments Pvt Ltd (PEPL) to promote tea tourism in Temi.
The project for which the agreement was signed on April 18 would be the first ever PPP initiative in Sikkim in the sector.
PEPL managing director Arijit Dutta, Temi tea managing director Mrinalini Shrivastava, consultant and advisor Rahul Banerjee and other officials were present during the announcement of the joint venture project recently, a statement issued to the media informed.
The Temi logo was also unveiled on the occasion.
At the epicentre of the initiative is the Bada Bungalow, which would be furnished with erstwhile era’s heritage fittings to serve four to five rooms and additional cottages for accommodation.
While at Temi, the visitors would not only get an opportunity to relax and unwind in the timeless bungalow and its surroundings but also soak in the beauty of the garden and enjoy plucking the tea leaf and make their own tea.
The Temi Tea garden lies between Damthang and Temi bazaar towards Singtam and is spread over an area of 376 hectares.
