The Union Home Ministry on Friday has extended the Suspension of Operation with NSCN/NK and NSCN/R for a period of one year.

The Suspension of Operation will come into effect from April 28.

“A ceasefire is in operation between Government of India, National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Neopao Konyak/Kitovi (NSCN/NK) and National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Reformation (NSCN/R).  It was decided to extend the Suspension of Operation with NSCN/NK and NSCN/R for a further period of one year with effect from April 28, till April 27, 2019,” said a government communiqué.

The extension of Suspension of Operation was signed by Satyendra Garg, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Jack Jimomi, Supervisor, GPRN/NSCN on behalf of NSCN/NK and Viniho Kiho Swu, Co-Supervisor and Toshi Longkumer members on behalf of NSCN/R were also present during the signing programme.
