An Army recruitment rally for unmarried male candidates from Arunachal Pradesh will be held at Jairampur in Changlang district from May 10 to 13.
Kohima-based Defence PRO, Col C Konwer informed that aspiring youths can register themselves for the rally by downloading the application form from the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and submitting the filled up forms online till April 24.
The candidates will have to bring with them copies of online self-printed admit cards and two colour passport-size photos to the rally, the colonel further said.
Other documents required are two sets of photocopies of Class 8 mark sheet; Class 10 admit card and mark sheet; Class 12 mark sheet; Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC); indigenous tribe/caste certificate issued from DC/ADC office; character certificate issued within six months by gaon burah/police station; unmarried status certificate; and National Cadet Corps (NCC) and sports certificates (if applicable), the defence PRO further added.
It may be recalled that Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig (Dr) B D Mishra (Rtd) met the Army Chief General Bipin Rawat, at New Delhi during his official visit on Wednesday.
During the meeting, while conveying the goodwill of the people of the State for the pre-recruitment rallies in different parts of the State, the Governor emphasized on enlisting of youths to which the Army Chief agreed to do his best to the optimum level.
