A man in Laharighat in Assam’s Morigaon district was beaten to death by his younger brothers over a land dispute.
The deceased person was identified as Parimal Mandal.
He was allegedly killed by five of his younger brothers based on instructions by his father.
His brothers had beaten him to death using sticks and machetes.

As per reports. Parimal was attacked on Tuesday but he died on Wednesday at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
Following this, the police arrested all the accused in the case. The were identified as Nirmal Mandal, Birbal Mandal, Sanjib Mandal, Sukumar Mandal, and Prem Kumar Mandal.

The police are currently investigating the entire case and have taken the five into custody.
Locals in the area have demanded capital punishment for the accused.
