Senior Congress leader and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha – Mallikarjun Kharge has tested positive for COVID-19.
Kharge was tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.
He is stated to be asymptomatic and has placed himself under home isolation.
Notably, Mallikarjun Kharge contracted the virus despite being fully vaccinated.
“He is asymptomatic and is under home isolation,” Kharge’s office stated in a statement.
It added: “He is fully vaccinated but was not yet eligible for his precaution dose.”
