Arunachal Pradesh: SSB base in Tawang declared containment zone

Headquarters of the 38 battalion of the Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang has been declared as a containment zone. 

The SSB base in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang has been declared a containment zone after detection of a number of cases in the base. 

At least 8 SSB personnel have been tested positive for COVID-19. 

The SSB base in Tawang will remain as a containment zone for the next 14 days. 

The eight cases detected in the Tawan SSB base were reported at a positivity rate of over 10 percent.
