Deposed Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been sent to four more years in jail.ย 

The verdict was announced on Monday by a Myanmar courtย after finding her guilty of โ€œillegal import and possession of walkie-talkies and COVID norms violatingโ€.ย

Earlier,ย Suu Kyi was convicted last month on two other charges โ€” incitement and breaching COVID norms.ย 

She was then sentenced to a 4 year in jail term.ย 

She is being kept by the Myanmar military at an unknown location.ย

If found guilty of all the charges, Aung San Suu Kyi could be sentenced to more than 100 years in prison.ย 

The Nobel laureate was detained by the Myanmar military on February 1, after her government was toppled by the military in an early morning coup.ย 

Since the coup, many of Suu Kyiโ€™s political allies have been arrested, with one chief minister sentenced to 75 years in jail.ย
