Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Manipur on January 4.
Although an official confirmation is still awaited, sources suggest that PM Modi will visit Manipur on January 4 after his trip to Agartala in Tripura the same day.
This will be the first visit of the PM to Manipur ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
Modi during his trip to Manipur will address a public meeting at Imphal.

Besides, he will also inaugurate a host of projects and schemes for Manipur.
“Preparations are underway for the PM’s visit,” Manipur CM Biren Singh said.
Prior to his likely visit to Manipur, PM Narendra Modi will visit Agartala in Tripura where he will inaugurate a new terminal building of Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala.
Union civil aviation minister – Jyotiradiya Scindia and other senior Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials would also be present at the inauguration programme.

PM Narendra Modi, during his Tripura visit, will also address a public rally at the Vivekananda Ground in Agartala.
“He (PM Modi) will inaugurate the new terminal building of MBB Airport in Agartala. He will also address a public rally at Vivekananda Ground,” Tripura CM Biplab Deb had said.
The new terminal building of Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala has been built at a cost of Rs 3400 crores.
