The Himalayan state of Sikkim turned milky white following heavy snowfall on Tuesday night.
Most areas in Sikkim got covered with a thick blanket of snow by Wednesday morning.
Tourist hotspot Nathu La also received heavy snowfall, much to the delight of tourists.
Seems Sikkim is all set to welcome the new year amidst heavy snowfall.

Mercury level in Sikkim dipped further following the snowfall.
Many tourists have been left stranded in North Sikkim due to heavy snowfall.
Many roads have got blocked in Sikkim due to snowfall.
Meanwhile, authorities are working to clear blocked roads.

Continuous snowfall since Tuesday night has blocked access to areas such as Lachung, Yumthang, Lachen and Uttarey in Gyalshing (formerly West Sikkim) district.
Road to Tsomgo Lake and Nathu La also got blocked due to heavy snowfall.
Gangtok reported the season’s lowest minimum temperature of 3.1 degrees Celsius.
On December 26, over 275 tourists’ vehicles were left stranded at Nathu La and Tsogmu Lake following heavy snowfall.

Army then launched a rescue mission to evacuate the stranded tourists that continued till Monday.
