Assam minister Bimal Borah, on Tuesday, said the two-day SPs conference will held at the oil town of Duliajan from January 3 next year.  

Borah informed about this development while briefing the media at the Dibrugarh DC’s conference hall on Tuesday.

He said that Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also attend the conference. 

“Over 120 police officers are going to attend the conference. Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also participate in the two-day conference,” Borah Said. 

He added: “Current law and order situation in Assam will be discussed during the course of the two-day conference,” Assam minister Bimal Borah informed.

The last Assam SPs conference was held at Kaziranga. 

“After the first SPs conference in Kaziranga in June, no rhino poaching incident was reported from Kaziranga National Park,” Borah said. 

He added: “Top officials of Assam police will take part in the Duliajan SPs conference. ADGP, IGP, DIG will also participate in the discussion on law-and-order situation in the state.”
