Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandi and Rahul Gandhi addressed a ‘Mehngai Hatao’ rally in Jaipur today.
Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi arrived at Jaipur and were received by Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot.
The rally is being held as a bid to draw the country’s attention towards price rise and inflation.
“Today’s government at the Centre is only about lies. This government is working for a few industrialists. The amount of money they spend on advertisements, why don’t they give it to the farmers?,” Priyanka Gandhi said while addressing the rally against inflation in Jaipur.
She added: “You are here today because an LPG cylinder costs around Rs 1000, mustard oil costs around Rs 200 per litre, petrol and diesel prices are rising, and no one is listening to the troubles being faced by the common man.”
The “national-level rally” is also attended by chief ministers and former chief ministers of other Congress-ruled states.

On Saturday, the Congress party had denounced the BJP government at the Centre for its policies and decision saying they have “led to rising inflation” in the country.
“Every decision of the Modi government is anti-people. Small and medium industries collapsed. Neither Naxalism, terrorism ended nor black currency was eliminated. The unemployment rate in the country is 10 per cent. Defeat Modi and BJP to get rid of rising inflation,” Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said.
