As many as six trucks carrying a total of 109 cattle was intercepted by the police near Guwahati in Assam.
The trucks were intercepted at Khetri near Guwahati in Assam on Tuesday.
At least seven persons have also been arrested by the police in connection with the case.
Further investigation into the case has been launched by the Guwahati police.
“A EGPD (East Guwahati Police Department) team from Khetri PS intercepted 6 trucks and detected 109 cattle, today morning. 7 persons have been detained in this regard. Investigation has been taken up in this regard,” Guwahati police informed.
The trucks carrying the cattle were also seized by the police.
