In a joint operation with police, security forces apprehended two persons with counterfeit Burmese goods at Pherima in Dimapur district on November 9, a defence release said on Thursday. 

Security forces, along with Nagaland police, apprehended the duo and recovered Burmese goods worth around Rs 29.84 lakh in the area.

The two, along with the recovered items, were handed over to the Customs department in Dimapur. 

In another incident, security forces, in a joint operation with the state police, apprehended a cadre of NSCN-K (YA) at Tizit in Mon district on November 8, another defence release said.

Based on a specific input, security forces, along with police, apprehended the cadre who was allegedly involved in multiple extortion activities at Tizit. 

He was later handed over to Mon police.
