Acting on a tip-off, officials of Mizoram Excise & Narcotics department have seized 168 grams of heroin.
One person has also been arrested in connection with the seizure in Aizawl’s Bethlehem Vengthlang neighbourhood on Monday, an official statement said.
A peddler identified as Lalmalsawma (46), who lives in a rented house at Bethlehem Vengthlang, has been arrested for possessing the contraband, it said.
The contraband has been estimated to be worth Rs 4.55 lakh in the local market.

The dugs consignment was smuggled from Myanmar, the statement said.
The accused was booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, the statement added.
