The Arunachal Pradesh government has constituted a fact-finding committee to ascertain the cause of murkiness of Kameng River in the state’s East Kameng district.
The water of Kameng River in Arunachal Pradesh turned muddy since Thursday night. Thousands of dead fishes have been found floating in the river.
There has been no improvement in the situation of the river water, which still continues to be muddy.
According to preliminary findings, the cause of the deaths of fishes in the river is due to presence of high TDS that creates low visibility and breathing issues for aquatic species.
