Kamrup-Metro district administration in Assam has declared Kamakhya Vidyalaya High School in Guwahati as a micro-containment zone for 7 days.
Principal of the school had tested positive for Covid-19, which led to isolation of the school campus as a micro-containment zone.
The school principal is currently admitted at a private hospital in Guwahati city.
According to the order dated October 28, under the “Assam Covid -19 Regulations 2020”, the containment zone is effective from October 28 till November 4.
The school will remain closed for the next seven days for maintenance of public hygiene and prevent further spread of the virus amongst the teaching staff and students.

Moreover, following the instructions of the Kamrup (Metro) district administration, the most of the teachers of the school had undergone mandatory Covid –19 test on Thursday.
The students along with remaining teachers will be tested on Friday, informed a senior teacher of the school.
