Arunachal Pradesh deputy chief minister Chowna Mein on Tuesday visited Diyung Circle under Bordumsa sub-division in Changlang district and lauded the area for bringing a revolutionary change in the agriculture sector.
Mein while addressing a gathering at Diyun Circle during a meeting at the community hall, briefed about the various initiatives of the government in the realms of administrations, finance and planning, digital connectivity, roads, rail, airways and technological achievements in the state.
The Arunachal Pradesh deputy CM said, “Diyun is the leading contributor to the GDP of the state through its horti-agri proceeds.”
Mein was accompanied by a host of dignitaries including Somlung Mossang, MLA; Take Ringu, DGP (OPS, INT and Security ); Dr. Devansh Yadav, Changlang DC; Suny Singh, ADC Miao; PN Thungon, SP Namsai; Akansha Yadav, Commandant, 2nd IRBN (HQ ) Diyun.

While responding to requests of MLA Somlung Mossang, Mein said, “Diyun indeed needs special attention in terms of balanced development.”
Terming the local MLA as his ‘elder brother’, Mein assured of assigning the AE (elect ) Maio an independent responsibility for smooth administration of the power department of Bordumsa-Diyun.

“What I personally feel is the need of a ‘ropeway’ over Nao Dihing river connecting Bordumsa-Diyun for easy mobilization of people and agricultural produce to nearby potential markets in Namsai and Lohit,” said Mein while assuring road connectivity from Dewan to Diyun reducing the physical distance drastically.
“Let the benefit under Article 275 be availed as grant in aids of revenue to be incurred upon the consolidated fund,” Mein suggested.
Terming the constituency of Bordumsa-Diyun as ‘Mini India’, for being inhabited by people of various communities maintaining a sense of fraternity, the deputy CM also felt the need to enhance the spirits of competitiveness among the aspirants of Eastern Parliamentary constituencies.
Earlier, participating in a series of the inaugural programmes held at the 2nd IRBN Headquarters in Diyun, Mein lauded the efforts of the IRBN jawans and officials led by IPS officer Akansha Yadav, the Commandant of the HQ for developing the amenities infrastructures out of self-initiative and volunteer contribution of the staff and jawans.
Three Sentry points, one school and a temple were inaugurated by Chowna Mein within the premises of the battalion’s HQ.
