Guwahati-based premier health care institute Marwari Hospitals has started a Menopause Clinic in its premises in the city.
Menopause is the time that marks the end of the menstrual cycle.
It’s diagnosed after a woman has gone 12 months without a menstrual period.
Menopause is a natural and normal event, not a disease or disorder.
Yet, menopause symptoms may significantly affect the quality of life. During these years, most women will notice early menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbance, heart palpitations, poor memory, vaginal dryness and mood changes.
“Our Menopause Clinic focuses not only on symptomatic relief of our patients but also provides Risk Assessment for Chronic Diseases, Cancer Screening and Counselling on Healthy Life Style Changes. You can discuss your options of treatment and prevention strategies with our healthcare professionals,” said Dr. Sweta Bhansali.
Not everybody gets the privilege to get older. Let’s age gracefully. Maintain health and prevent disease after menopause by taking guidance from experts.
Dr. Bhansali, who has taken the initiative of the Menopause Clinic at Marwari Hospitals, is a Credentialed IMS Menopause Practitioner.
The Menopause Clinic will be functioning twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday from 3 pm to 5 pm.
