RN Ravi was recently transferred to Tamil Nadu as Governor of the state.

The huge trust deficit between Ravi and Naga insurgent groups reportedly led to his exit from the northeastern state.

Ravi was crossing swords with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah) for the last two years.

In 2019, RN Ravi was appointed as Governor of Nagaland along with his previous responsibility of being interlocutor of the Naga peace talks.

In fact, the Naga peace talks began to derail in early 2020 when NSCN-IM leader T Muivah refused to hold any dialogue with R N Ravi following a dispute over the framework agreement signed in 2015.

Ravi has also been removed as interlocutor for the Naga peace talks.

The Centre had appointed Ravi, a 1976 batch IPS officer from the Kerala cadre, as Naga peace talk interlocutor in 2015.

Despite a Framework Agreement for Naga Peace Accord having been signed in 2015, the government has not been able to finalise the Accord.
