The three-day session of the eighth Mizoram assembly was adjourned sine die on Thursday.
Speaker Lalrinliana Sailo announced the sine die adjournment in the afternoon after giving a brief report on the proceedings of the session, which began on September 7.
During the session, the assembly passed two government bills- the Mizoram Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2021 and Mizoram Agricultural Land Leasing Bill, 2021.
At least six papers, including the report of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India on finance accounts 2019-2020 and appropriation accounts 2019-2020 in respect of Mizoram government, and five reports were laid during the three- day session.
According to Sailo, the assembly received 485 questions, including 227 unstarred questions, and two unstarred questions were rejected.

“All the 258 starred questions were admitted, while 60 were placed in the list of business and 9 were answered,” he said.
A special mention was also made on the Assam government’s decision to check and frisk all incoming vehicles from Mizoram, he said.
The assembly further paid tribute to sitting member Andrew H. Thangliana, who died last month and former minister P.C. Zoram Sangliana, who died of Covid-19 in April this year.
Sailo lauded the members for maintaining decorum in the house and also thanked officials and police for their support during the session.
