Assam government has decided to appoint Olympic Bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain as the brand ambassador of the state education department.
“We are happy to announce that boxer Lovlina Borgohian will be the brand ambassador of the education department. Her association will strengthen the education sector of Assam,” said education minister Ranoj Pegu.

Minister Pegu further said that Lovlina as a face of the Education sector in Assam will be able to motivate women and girls across the state to educate themselves.
23-year-old boxer Lovlina Borgohain, 23, secured the bronze medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
She is the first woman from Assam to win a medal in Olympics.
