The police in Assam’s Darrang are yet to make any breakthrough into looting of as many as three SBI ATMs in Sipajhar on Sunday night.
“Our investigation is on but we are yet to make desired progress in the case,” said inspector Sushil Kr Dutta, officer-in-charge of Sipajhar Police Station while speaking to Northeast Now.
On the other hand, SBI is yet to spell out the actual amount of cash looted from the ATMs.
“Technical team of SBI has arrived Sipajhar from Tezpur and they are assessing the actual amount of cash looted,” said inspector Dutta on Monday.

It may be mentioned here that on Sunday night, miscreants broke into as many as three SBI ATMs at Ghorabandha under Sipajhar Police Station and looted cash by breaking the ATM chambers.
