India’s Ravi Kumar has lost the final match in the 57kg men’s freestyle wrestling at the Tokyo Olympics.

With this, Ravi Kumar has settled for silver.

Ravi Kumar lost the final match to Z Uguev of the Russian Olympic Committee 4-7.

Ravi Kumar has become the second Indian wrestler, after Sushil Kumar, to win silver medal in Olympic Games.

He is the fifth Indian wrestler after KD Jadhav, Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar and Sakshi Malik to win an Olympic medal.

Ravi’s Russian opponent was just too strong for the Indian and despite his best efforts, couldn’t overpower the Russian at any given point in time.

Ravi Kumar entered the final after made a stunning comeback in the semi final after pinning down Nurislam Sanayev of Kazakhstan with less than a minute left.
